About

Gianna Piccardo currently practices and offers her services in the Pacific Northwest and throughout the West Coast, based in Portland, OR and Ojai, CA.  She is now available across all borders and internationally, with the new Yoga Off the Mat program.

Gianna is dedicated to guiding clients inward to access their innate healing wisdom, using the tools of Yoga Therapy & Ayurveda, including vibrational/energetic therapy &  indigenous healing song.

Her balanced approach is based upon her studies of Yoga, Ayurveda and alternative and complementary modalities in both the East and West.  In her work with clients, Gianna tailors these tools to the unique needs of the individual, using a practical, medically-sound approach.

Gianna’s regular practice of yoga developed from a need to channel stress and to find peace while living the life of a busy career woman in the corporate world. Her transformational journey was initiated by a deep personal experience that sent her inward to uncover her own self-wisdom and to reconnect with her authentic personal truth.  She emerged with the understanding of and intention to assist others in experiencing this opportunity that we all share; that is, to discover the hidden gifts in our most difficult personal journeys.

Gianna’s intention is to provide her clients with guidance, support and specific tools to assist them on their own unique path to self-healing; physically, mentally and spiritually.

Her background includes study of and certification courses in traditional ‘Hatha’ yoga, Anusara yoga, Yoga Therapy, Ayurveda and nutrition.  Her current studies include other alternative and complementary methods including energy work and shamanism.  She is a certified yoga teacher at the 500hr+ level with the National Yoga Alliance as well as a certified teacher of Svastha Yoga and Ayurveda.

Gianna’s current focus in her yoga work is based primarily on her studies with A.G. Mohan of Svastha Yoga and Ayurveda, in Chennai, India in the lineage of Sri Krishnamacharya.  Mohanji’s work is based on his 18 years as a personal student of Krishnamacharya and his programs are taught with his wife Indra and their children, Nitya and Ganesh Mohan, MD.

Gianna donates her offerings and time to various non-profit services organizations.  Recent recipients include the Nourish the Children Initiative, Northwest Portland Ministries, Inc., UNICO Italian-American Service Organization, Women Empowering Women, and Girls, Inc.

With enduring gratitude, she honors her teachers Debbie Wolski, Sarahjoy Marsh and A.G. Mohan and family for the wisdom and integrity they offer to the practice of yoga.
